Off Madison Avenue, a Phoenix-based marketing communications firm, announced today the launch of its newest marketing research and creative strategy campaign for the Flagstaff Convention and Visitors Bureau. Results from the research and subsequent marketing recommendations are aimed at driving more visitors to Arizona’s favorite mountain city.
“We chose Off Madison Ave because they had very creative ideas and a detailed outline specifically tailored to our needs,” said Heather Ainardi, spokeswoman for FCVB. “We didn’t need to rebrand Flagstaff, rather, we needed to update some of our marketing strategies. Off Madison Ave was particularly appealing to us because of their experience with clients in Flagstaff and other destination marketing organizations.”
The FCVB, charged with developing, promoting and maintaining Flagstaff, Ariz., as a year-round visitor destination, called upon Off Madison Ave to identify and recommend messaging and imaging that will resonate with the bureau’s target audiences. The bureau will then use Off Madison Ave’s strategic recommendations to execute and launch a new creative campaign, which positions the Northern Arizona city as an ideal travel destination. Ultimately, the FCVB aims to increase the amount of time an average visitor spends in Flagstaff.
“Off Madison Ave’s work in travel and tourism has resulted in campaigns that are extremely wide reaching and profitable for our clients,” said Roger Hurni, executive creative director and co-founder of Off Madison Ave. “The Flagstaff CVB is an ideal partnership for our agency because of our past successes, and we look forward to positioning the city to visitors in new and imaginative ways.”
Selected because of the agency’s experience in the hospitality and tourism fields, Off Madison Ave will analyze the FCVB’s target audiences and present strategic market recommendations designed to engage and entice travelers. Focus groups and other detailed market research will help the agency determine what motivates visitors to travel, and what messages will resonate among specific audiences. Using findings from this research, Off Madison Ave will develop a creative approach to attract a wide variety of visitors.
Off Madison Ave has created marketing campaigns for a variety of travel-focused clients, including the Arizona Office of Tourism, Arizona Highways magazine, Ski Apache, London Bridge Resort and Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino.
