FLAGSTAFF, AZ –The Arboretum at Flagstaff and Flagstaff Arts Council announce Traveler in concert at The Arboretum. Musical performances take place under the shade of the cool pines with a view of the San Francisco Peaks, rain or shine. The concert will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2014.
Traveler’s sound is an innovative fusion of World Music and Rock. Using traditional ethnic instruments combined with all the power of a full-blown rock band, their performances are intense, exotic and adrenaline-driven. The real magic of a Traveler show is in the connection they make with the audience. They give a high energy, passionate performance that draws the audience in. Concertgoers may bring food and non-alcoholic beverages for a picnic setting. Picnic blankets or concert chairs are encouraged. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the venue. The concert series is perfect for those beautiful Flagstaff Summer evenings!
Doors open at 4:45 p.m. and the concert begins at 5:30 p.m. at The Arboretum at Flagstaff located at 4001 South Woody Mountain Road, Flagstaff, AZ 86005. Tickets are $14 for members of The Arboretum and Flagstaff Arts Council; $18 for non-members; and $9 for kids 6-16, children under 6 are free. Tickets can be purchased online by visiting flagartscouncil.org. To avoid an online purchasing fee, tickets may also be purchased at the Coconino Center for the Arts, or by dialing (928) 779-2300. About the Arboretum at Flagstaff
The Arboretum at Flagstaff is home to 750 species of plants in gardens, greenhouses, and natural habitats and is located 4 miles south of Route 66 on Woody Mountain Road on Flagstaff’s west side. The Arboretum offers summer nature camps, school programs, and a variety of other fun and informative events. Admission is $8.50 for adults; $6 for seniors, and $3 for youth 5 and up.
