There is just something special about art created by hand. It is robust and real, painstakingly made to evoke feeling.
The history of permanent cosmetics began thousands of years ago. Sharpened sticks and stones were used to implant natural pigments into the skin. You can still see signs of these markings on preserved human remains today. Mummies dating back to the times of Cleopatra still show visible signs of hand-tattooed permanent makeup.
Today, the hand method has been reinvented with Softap Brand Permanent Cosmetics. The ancient form of tattooing has been modernized to give the most natural looking permanent cosmetics. The natural versatility and artistic nature of the hand method is perfect for delicate work. When it comes to permanent cosmetics, the most controlled and gentle methods should be used to implant permanent color.
This method is gentle, quiet and gives soft, beautiful results. Allowing the artist to have complete control over where pigment is deposited, every move, every touch is at the discretion of the artist. The talented artist with gentle hands designs your cosmetics exactly as you want them, down to the tiniest of details before you begin. The tools are dipped into the organic natural color and then gently tapped throughout the area according to the design.
Why the hand method? It offers a gentle, non-invasive, relaxing experience while offering maximum control, a fast healing time, minimal touch ups and the most natural look in the world.
If eyebrows are sparse, have areas of hair missing or no hair at all, they can be enhanced with soft natural fill-ins of color – a very common procedure – and can be done with a penciled look, a powdery or airbrushed look, or with simulated hair strokes. If you are tired of putting on eyeliner every day, it can be expertly applied for you exactly the way you like it.
The most common is subtle eyelash enhancements, thin eyeliner, medium eyeliner or thick eyeliner. It is even done with different colors to produce special effects for exotic eye colors. If your lips lack color, definition, are crooked, receded or even if they just need a little adjustment, color can be placed to give you just what you need to have the loveliest enhanced lips.
With advanced training, the hand method can also treat hypopigmentation (lack of skin color), port wine stain (type of birthmark), scars, stretch marks and even, uneven or completely removed areolas. There are even ways to correct badly applied permanent cosmetics.
How Permanent is Permanent Cosmetics?
Permanent Cosmetics is considered permanent because once the pigment is implanted into the dermal layer of the skin, it cannot be washed off like traditional cosmetics. However, fading will occur.
When the color is freshly applied, it should always appear “too dark.” After the healing process is complete, there will be an obvious loss of color. After the initial application of color, one may needs one or two follow-up procedures to achieve the correct color saturation.
Generally, after the completion of the original application of Permanent Cosmetics, the longevity of the pigment in the skin is three to five years before an additional application of color is necessary. The pigments used will fade over time from many factors such as skin exfoliates applied too close to the applied area (both natural and chemical induced), anti-aging laser treatments, sun exposure and medications.
This is normal and will happen over time. You cannot control how one’s body acts as a host to the pigment that is implanted, especially if one is on medication and other factors are in one’s lifestyle.
Sun exposure is a major reason pigment fades. Daily use of sunblock – SPF 30 or greater and reapplying about every two hours or so is recommended, along with making every effort to avoid sun exposure. Even casual exposure to the sun will fade the pigment over time. Permanent Cosmetics will look the best if the original technician periodically maintains it every few years.
The skin is a living canvas and will need routine maintenance. Expect to have routine follow-up visits to retouch as needed for each individual may differ. FBN
