Marcus and Cynthia Fullen are the new owners of the Birch Street Deli. They will be adding their own touches to this Flagstaff icon, including breads and pastries from the Village Baker and locally made tortillas from the Tortilla Lady.
“We think people will especially enjoy our signature Roquefort salad dressing, along with our New Orleans-style seafood mix as a salad or sandwich,” he said. Many familiar favorites will remain on the menu with new health-conscious selections added.
The Fullens want the Birch Street Deli to be a gathering place for locals by opening it exclusively after-hours for professional and civic organization meetings, book clubs and gamers. “For the price of the meals, small groups from five to 25 can have the place exclusively to themselves for an hour or two without distraction,” she said. Wi-Fi is being added so students and businesspeople can enjoy eating while they work, surf or check emails. FBN
