Blues and Brews Festival Planned for June

June 18, 2014 By Flagstaff Business News

beerPeak Events is bringing The Blues and Brews Festival to Flagstaff for the second year in a row. The event will be on June 21st at the Continental Country Club Driving Range in east Flagstaff. The tickets officially went on sale April 1st.
Peak Events takes pride in the fact that these events don’t just provide entertainment for the community but that they also raise funds for local charities. Flagstaff Blues and Brews will benefit the Northern Arizona Blues Alliance and the Blues in the Schools Program.   Under this umbrella, the Alliance will introduce high school music students to the Blues and also ensure that younger students will have access to musical instruments.  “I want to make sure that any child who wants to learn to play a musical instrument has the opportunity,” says Debbi Grogan, co-owner of Peak Events and the festival’s producer.

The music lineup includes Road One South – out of Prescott, RD Olsen Band from Sedona, Bob Corritore and the West Coast All Stars – a long time Phoenix based performer, Eden Brent, Coco Montoya, and multiple award-winning artists. Bob Corritore, Eden Brent, Coco Montoya and Janiva Magness are all releasing new CDs within the next 3 months. Attendees can expect great performances.

The Flagstaff Blues and Brews festival debuted last year and had raving reviews. After seeing over 2,700 people attend last year, this event is expected to grow. “I’d like to see this become Flagstaff’s premiere destination festival and with the size of the driving range, we can grow to 10,000 attendees,” says Debbi. Peak Events would like to thank the sponsors who make this event possible   Including, Hallum Inc., Century 21 Reality, Academy Mortgage, Empire West Title Company, State Bar, Odell Brewing Company, Golden Eagle Distributors, Pepsi, Babbitt Ford, Great Circle Radio, KNAU, Flagstaff Business News, and Satchmo’s BBQ.
