BOTHANDS, Inc., plans to open Sharon’s Attic Thrift Store March 1, specializing in items for children, babies and moms. Sharon’s Attic will sell furniture, clothing, household goods and clothing/toys for children and babies.
Sharon’s Attic will help raise funding for BOTHANDS’ Sharon Manor Transitional Housing program, which provides affordable housing and comprehensive support services for homeless women and children survivors of domestic violence.
In addition to funding, Sharon’s Attic also will provide employment and volunteer and training opportunities for residents at Sharon Manor, helping residents to build employment skills and experience so they secure higher-wage employment.
In-kind donations can be dropped off at Sharon’s Attic, located at 1926 N. Fourth St., Ste. 5 – next to Summit Gymnastics. The store will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday starting Feb. 18 for donation drop offs. Pick up for larger donated items can be arranged. FBN
