City Reaches Agreement on Red Gap Ranch
The City of Flagstaff is announcing it has reached agreement with the Attorney General’s Office of the Navajo Nation regarding drilling and pumping of water at Red Gap Ranch. Red Gap Ranch is an 8,500 acre ranch located immediately south of the Navajo Reservation in proximity of Leupp. The City acquired this Ranch in 2005 to serve its future water needs. Bearizona Reaches One Year Anniversary
Bearizona Wildlife Park is celebrating one year in business. The drive-through park near Williams features North American animals including bears, wolves, bison and big horn sheep as well as other animals. Just nine months after the developers of the Pine Canyon Golf Club and residential development in Flagstaff, Arizona filed Chapter 11 proceedings, the Honorable Redfield T. Baum, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Arizona, entered an Order Confirming their Plan of Reorganization today. Flagstaff’s Pulliam Airport Receiving Grants
Pulliam Airport is one of five statewide airport improvement projects being funded by $21 million. Four airports will receive funds for one project; Flagstaff will get funding for two. The State Transportation Board has given final approval of the funding. $392,045 will go toward phase one construction of an aircraft rescue and fire fighting building. $65,242 will toward phase two of the facility.
