Keeping with tradition while accommodating today’s lifestyles, the Weatherford Hotel’s Exchange Pub is becoming a contemporary, yet cozy, coffee house that proudly serves Starbucks daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Post-holiday shoppers can soak in the charm and comfort of the historic Weatherford Hotel, combined with the quality and satisfaction of Starbucks coffee and delicious pastries as they enjoy the downtown experience.
The Exchange Pub inside the hotel will take on a new look, which will include WiFi connections and laptop workstations.
The Weatherford Hotel has a rich history as a destination meeting place for coffee gatherings, including the long-time men’s group, 9 O’Clock Coffee, which included community leaders, businessmen and astronomers who would visit, discuss local issues and share a few laughs.
As times have changed, the Exchange Pub is transforming into a modern day rendition of the 9 O’Clock Coffee club. Coffee houses are important community assets where people see their neighbors, discuss business or work on their laptops. This latest endeavor allows the hotel to continue to add desirable community services while encouraging residents and visitors to enjoy one of our Flagstaff treasures in the century-old hotel.
While El Niño storms keep Flagstaff living up to its designation as Arizona’s Winter Wonderland, Exchange Pub baristas will be serving downtown visitors and residents a cup of coffee worth savoring.
So, whether you’re on the go or want to take in the ambiance of the downtown culture, come in and relax in the nostalgic Weatherford Hotel with a favorite Starbucks beverage and a delicious Danish or muffin. FBN
