Canyon Diablo Spirits and Distillery Wins Governor’s Tourism Award for Spirit of Service Crisis Response

This award honored Canyon Diablo for their above-and-beyond response to the global health crisis with the implementation of safety standards. Canyon Diablo Distillery is Arizona’s first legal distillery and has earned many accolades for their bottled goodness, including medaling in the World and International Spirits competitions. Owners and partners Randy Ahern, Joe Pendergast and Dana Kanzler noticed the challenges associated with the declining availability of hand sanitizer – such an essential product during an unprecedented time of a global pandemic. Canyon Diablo pivoted its operations quickly to produce hand sanitizer for the Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation in an effort to stop the rapid spread of COVID-19 in one of the nation’s hardest hit areas. The Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation had only six bottles of hand sanitizer remaining when a shipment arrived – thanks to the production and partnership with Canyon Diablo Distillery. FBN
