The Flagstaff Forty Board of Directors announces that as of October 1, 2014, Michael Zervas will start as the organization’s first CEO. Michael Zervas is a long time member of Flagstaff Forty and a founding partner of Mountain Heart Sleep and Cardiovascular Center of Excellence. His role will replace the recently vacated volunteer Executive Director post that was held by Dr. Robert Millis for the previous five years. “Michael embodies the community leadership and entrepreneurial spirit needed to lead Flagstaff Forty into its next decade of excellence,” said David Engelthaler, the group’s Chairman of the Board, “Flagstaff Forty and the community are fortunate to have his leadership and his zealous pursuit of success.” Besides founding Mountain Heart, Michael has developed a number of successful businesses, currently consults on business start-ups around the globe, and works closely with NACET and local businesses to foster good business practices and early success. He balances his commitment to business with commitment to the community, volunteering on a number of Boards and in local charitable organizations. “I am proud and excited to take on this new role at Flagstaff Forty,” said Michael on Wednesday, “The impact of this group of local leaders has been profound, I hope to help continue its success.”
Flagstaff Forty was formed in 2004 by a small group of committed Flagstaff-area business leaders as a mechanism for discussing, studying, and, where appropriate, addressing critical needs of our community and state. Today, Flagstaff Forty is a nonpartisan group of business and community leaders committed to improving Flagstaff by addressing critical issues in our community. For the last several years, education has been its top priority, and Flagstaff Forty launched the STEM City Initiative in 2011. For more information www.flagstaffforty.org.
