At The Guidance Center, we offer individual, group and family therapy.
Speaking with a counselor provides a safe space to express feelings in a confidential and non-judgmental environment. Patients often find that enhanced self-understanding gained in counseling leads to better, more rewarding relationships and fewer harmful behaviors.
Additionally, counseling can assist with establishing practical life tools for managing depression, expressing anger, understanding anxiety, and moving through grief. Breaking down problems into manageable steps improves a recipient’s ability to overcome their hurdles, leading to greater fulfillment in all areas of life.
While some people seek out counseling for specific issues such as substance use, self-harm or PTSD, others are motivated to develop new coping skills, improve communication through enhanced assertiveness or conflict resolution, or develop new perspectives for problem solving.
At The Guidance Center, we offer individual, group and family therapy. We’re contracted with all insurance plans, and a sliding fee schedule is available for uninsured community members.
We strongly believe that counseling improves lives, and we encounter evidence of this every day. Seeing participants in our services build coping skills, understand themselves more deeply, and live with increased purpose and connection are some of our greatest joys at The Guidance Center.
Our telehealth services are especially important for our vast region and are offered for those who prefer participating in the comfort of their own spaces or cannot make the trip in to see us in person. Convenience and comfort improve outcomes for so many.
Since 1969, The Guidance Center has been our community’s premier mental health center. Today, we offer a full continuum of behavior health services for people of all ages. I’m proud of what we do every day, because our team of compassionate care providers show up each day with the intention of helping others live more fulfilling lives. We are here when you need us. FBN
