After attracting more than 100 attendees last year, organizers expect an even larger turnout for this expanded event.
This year’s event marks the first time Moonshot will host the Going Green and Going Smart Summit, organized by Compass CBS Foundation in partnership with Arizona Public Service (APS). The summit focuses on sustainable business practices and energy-saving strategies for small businesses.
“We’re excited to combine our annual campus celebration with a sustainability focus that aligns with the innovative spirit of our entrepreneurs,” said Moonshot President and CEO Scott Hathcock. “The partnership with APS and Compass CBS Foundation brings valuable resources to our community.”
After attracting more than 100 attendees last year, organizers expect an even larger turnout for this expanded event. The Summer Launch Party will showcase Moonshot’s Flagstaff campus facilities, including office spaces and manufacturing areas designed specifically for entrepreneurs.
The half-day Going Green and Going Smart Summit portion will feature expert speakers, panel discussions on implementing sustainable practices, and information about APS programs that help businesses reduce their carbon footprint while saving on energy costs.
“We are committed to empowering small business owners with the tools and knowledge to make sustainable decisions that benefit the environment and their bottom lines,” said APS Vice President of External Affairs Stacy Derstine. “We’re excited to bring the Going Green and Going Smart Summit to Northern Arizona, where we will provide innovative solutions and resources to help businesses reduce energy use and encourage a more efficient future.”
“The Summit represents our commitment to building a sustainable future for Arizona’s small businesses,” said Compass CBS Foundation Executive Director Dr. Tanya Ospitale. “Partnering with Moonshot allows us to reach innovative entrepreneurs who are shaping the future of our state’s economy.”
