When orthopaedic injuries occur, urgent care clinics provide a cost effective and efficient alternative to the Emergency Room. At Urgent Ortho, specialists from Northern Arizona Orthopaedics (NAO) fast track treatments for bone, muscle and joint injuries.
One year after opening, NAO’s leadership laid out an expansion strategy to stimulate more clinic space, enhanced patient comforts, better access to care and longer hours for Urgent Ortho. The plans included a new remodel and build-out of the then Medical Records area of NAO inside the Summit Center, designated clinic rooms, patient lobby and new bathroom. Near the end of January, 2015, the new-and-improved walk-in care clinic was completed.
Today’s Urgent Ortho is now a highly functioning, high-quality medical service designed to give patients a seamless one-stop-shop orthopaedic care experience. Additional services include in-house X-Ray and MRI, casting, bracing, physical therapy, prescription-filling and an on-site surgery center. Clinic hours are extended to 6 p.m. (M-F) and will soon include Saturdays. Patients have the option of walking in or calling to get the best suggested appointment time. All are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
Urgent Ortho is located inside the Summit Center and serviced by the specialized experts at Northern Arizona Orthopaedics. All insurances are accepted. Hours are 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday thru Friday. The phone number is 928-226-2929 and the website is www.urgentorthoflagstaff.com. Patients may go online to request an appointment, as well.
