Northern Arizona Orthopaedics has re-opened their clinics after determining the safest and most practical means. This includes an evaluation process for each patient during the scheduling process that will determine if they are they are at low risk during an in-office visit. However, if patients fall into the “at risk” category, they will have the option of receive diagnosis and treatment options via Northern Arizona Orthopaedics telehealth program.
“At risk” patients will include:
- Patients over the age of 65
- Patients living in a long-term care facility or nursing home
- Patients with the following underlying medical conditions:
- Lung disease or asthma, heart conditions, severe obesity, diabetes and/or immunocompromised for other health conditions
Telehealth virtual online appointments will be offered to patients who fall into the “at risk” category. Northern Arizona Orthopaedics scheduling team are giving step-by-step support to easily set up HIPAA-compliant, secure ZOOM meetings that allow patients to use their computer, laptops, or smart-device in the convenience of their home.
Saturday Clinic is available to help those with musculoskeletal injuries stay out of the Emergency Room and receive care for new musculoskeletal injuries. Urgent Ortho provides immediate care for walk-in patients 8 am – 4:30 pm and now Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Care for injuries less than 3-weeks old is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
Our COVID-19 Policy can be found at www.northAZortho.com/corona-virus-policy/. Visitors accompanying patients will be limited to parents of minors, translators and caregivers of disabled patients. All patients and necessary visitors must be wearing a mask, which we will provide to them, if needed.
