Longtime businessman Paul Kulpinski has filed paperwork for 2012 Mayoral Election. Organizers filed an Arizona Political Committee Statement of Organization at Flagstaff’s City Hall with the name Paul Kulpinski for Mayor. With this filing, Kulpinski becomes the first candidate for Mayor in the 2012 election.
Kulpinski has lived in Flagstaff for 21 years and currently serves the community as an elected member of the Flagstaff Unified School District Governing Board. He was elected to the board in 2004 and was selected as President three times, including this year. “I offer a compassionate, collaborative and principled leadership style to re-focus the City of Flagstaff to ensure our long-term stability”, says Kulpinski. “Given the current economic downturn and statewide political turmoil, Flagstaff has a window of opportunity to leverage existing community assets and emerge as a stronger and more viable community”, he adds.
The City of Flagstaff general election will be held in May 2012, and if needed a primary election would first be held in March 2012. While the Mayoral seat is a non-partisan office, Paul Kulpinski is registered as an Independent. More information about the campaign can be found at PaulKulpinski.com.
