This phase of the construction is scheduled to last 18 months, with the first patient being seen by mid-fall 2026.
Phase one includes:
- New and expanded Operating Rooms and Pain Procedure Rooms
- Dedicated prep and recovery space for Pain Procedure Rooms
- New and expanded Sterile Processing Department
- New surgery check-in and waiting space
- New Wound Clinic with Hyperbaric Chamber Treatment capabilities
- New EntireCare Rehab & Sports Medicine Physical Therapy location
- Additional physician clinic/exam capacity
- Expanded parking capacity
The plans include a 6,000-square-foot addition to the existing building. Two additional phases will take place between fall 2026 and spring 2028.
Even though construction will be underway at the Summit Center, the facility is still open for scheduled surgeries and services, and will continue to be open for the duration of the construction period.
This project is the beginning of NAH reimagining the outpatient environment that was originally planned for the Ambulatory Care Center at Fort Tuthill and responding to community feedback about keeping some outpatient health care services centrally located. In keeping with NAH’s original plans for Fort Tuthill, NAH officials say consideration for the environment is being taken in the development to ensure that the building will be more sustainable and energy efficient than it currently is now.
