City of Flagstaff Fire Department officials remind residents that an approaching cold front could wreak havoc on plumbing. Because temperatures are expected to drop into single digits early Thursday, residents and property owners should prepare buildings. Sprinkler pipes, riser rooms and domestic water lines should be kept in rooms with air temperatures at a minimum of 40 degrees to avoid freezing pipes and potential water damage.
