Arizona Snowbowl and its signature ski resort friends are teaming up to offer FREE SKIING on 12 mountains and 3,913 inches of average annual snowfall to season pass holders. Through the new Powder Alliance, skiers will have access to the greatest powder stashes in the West. Participating resorts include Arizona Snowbowl, Crested Butte, Snowbasin Resort, Sierra-at-Tahoe, Stevens Pass, Timberline, Schweitzer, China Peak, Mountain High, Mt. Hood Skibowl, Angel Fire Resort and Bridger Bowl.
With the Arizona Snowbowl season pass, which goes on sale in early September through Oct. 16 for the pre-season discount, guests will receive three FREE days at all participating ski areas plus special offers on lodging, rentals, buddy tickets and more.
“This year’s Snowbowl Season Pass is an amazing value because, for the first time in history, Snowbowl can now guarantee snow with snowmaking and we estimate our season to run from Thanksgiving to April. Plus, through the Powder Alliance, skiers and snowboarders will be able to sample some of the most well known mountains in the country. That’s 33 days of free skiing or boarding, a value of more than $2,000, and discounted overall trip costs!” said Snowbowl Spokesperson Ksenia Hartl.
Snowbowl season pass holders will be able to magnify their experience by enjoying Snowbowl’s vertical drop of 2,300 feet, and also by chasing the best snow conditions throughout West. Benefits of the Powder Alliance add up to 123 lifts, 806 trails, 26,782 vertical feet and 17,804 skiable acres.
“Whether you want to enjoy family adventures at Crested Butte in Colorado, explore 3,000 acres at Snowbasin in Utah, ski the Cold Smoke at Bridger Bowl in Montana or play in one of the nation’s top terrain parks at Sierra-at-Tahoe, guests simply need to show their Arizona Snowbowl 2013/14 season pass and receive free skiing benefits from New Mexico to Montana and up and down the West Coast!” said Hartl.
The Powder Alliance offer applies to anytime passes only and not midweek or other restricted options. Tickets are valid Sunday throughFriday, non-holiday, and must be used during the 2013/14 season.
Even though Arizona daytime temperatures are well into triple digits across much of the state, winter sports enthusiasts may feel a little cooler by planning their winter trips now. From Phoenix, skiers can take a 90-minute flight to Salt Lake City to visit Snowbasin or a two-hour flight to Sacramento to ski Sierra-at-Tahoe.
