Travel ID Deadline Postponed
Air travelers are getting a reprieve from the urgency to obtain their Real ID. The original deadline has been moved from Oct. 1, 2020, to a full year later, Oct. 1, 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) encourages MVD customers to hold off on getting their AZ Travel ID to reduce traffic at MVD locations. Traffic Signal Construction to Begin at Cheshire
The Arizona Department of Transportation will install a new traffic signal at the intersection of US 180 and Fremont Boulevard in Flagstaff later this month. A recent study conducted by ADOT concluded that a traffic signal at the intersection is warranted. Construction of the signal will begin this month and lane closures will be required to provide a safe work zone. In order to pay tribute to her son who died of liver cancer at the tender age of three, Bronwyn Streich adopted a segment of State Route 87. Now, the mother who sought to honor the memory of her son, Jayson, is being honored by ADOT for the outstanding dedication of her group to keep a mile of the Duthie-Martin Highway free of trash.
