Interstate 17 Drivers may experience delays near Munds Park for the next couple of weeks, as ADOT crews reconstruct bridges and ramps in that area 20 miles south of Flagstaff.  The project includes new pavement and enhanced pedestrian access for Munds Park.  I-17 will be reduced to one lane in each direction for the next two weeks, except for weekends when work will cease. Prepare for Winter Storm

The National Weather Service has upgraded storm total amounts to 16 - 24 inches.   Motorists are encouraged to avoid travel this weekend. City of Flagstaff:  Due to the forecast intensity of this weekend's winter storm the Flagstaff Aquaplex will close at 7p.m on Saturday and will open at Noon on Sunday.  At this time, the Jay Lively Activity Center and the Flagstaff Recreation Center will remain on a regular weekend schedule. Snow Storm Update

The President's Day weekend storm brought a lot of snow to Northern Arizona, closing highways and I-17 and causing dozens of slide offs and other accidents. The ski resort, Arizona Snowbowl, is reporting 42 inches of new snow.  Amounts in other areas vary.  One Flagstaff location measured 12 inches and another 15.  A weather spotter in Kachina Village reports 12.4 inches, Parks one foot, Williams 6.4" and Munds Park 12.5.
