When I look back on the first three quarters of 2021, it is with mixed feelings. If we took out the previous two years and looked at our passenger numbers, it was a very good year. Having said that, there were far too many challenges that dim that optimism. We, like all businesses in our community, faced staffing shortages. One of our most important business partners, the rental cars, could not get enough staff and faced their car shortage head on. The airlines faced major staff shortages … [Read more...] about Flagstaff Pulliam Airport: A Look Back, A Look Forward

Flagstaff Airport: Staying Open, Making Changes
We would like to thank all who have flown out of Flagstaff Pulliam Airport this year. When we look back to last year, we hit a record number of patrons who flew in and out of the airport and found ourselves cramped with parking, lobby space and, at times, with ramp space. These were good problems to have, because we can fix these concerns. This year has had a different set of obstacles, as the airline industry, among others, was faced with COVID-19. Not only did the airports come to a … [Read more...] about Flagstaff Airport: Staying Open, Making Changes
Flagstaff Airport: New Additions
With the addition of a second airline and new routes to Dallas, Denver and Los Angeles (seasonally), the Flagstaff Airport has seen a 52% increase in passenger traffic. By year-end, more than 220,000 passengers will have traveled through the terminal. In order to keep up with the influx of passengers, we have made recent additions. New Hold Room Restrooms: To support the increased number of customers traveling through the terminal and to encourage passengers to move inside the holding room at … [Read more...] about Flagstaff Airport: New Additions
Flagstaff Airport Offering Flights to L.A. Again, Keeping up with Growth

American is again testing the market with Saturday-only service to Los Angeles International Airport that began in August and will run through this fall. These additional flights have been a welcome change for our community, as well as for … [Read more...] about Flagstaff Airport Offering Flights to L.A. Again, Keeping up with Growth

Flagstaff Airport: 2017 was a Record Year with to Come
Flagstaff Airport had 72,679 passengers choose to fly out of our airport in 2017, which resulted in a 9 percent increase over the prior year. That is the largest group ever to board a plane from the Flagstaff airport and resulted in saving our patrons time. We all have a choice to fly or drive two-and-a-half hours to Phoenix in traffic, pay $9 to $25 per day to park, stand in long lines to check bags and end with a long screening line. But instead, many of you parked easily, experienced a short … [Read more...] about Flagstaff Airport: 2017 was a Record Year with to Come
Flagstaff Airport Update
Each year, we continue to court air service to new destinations from Flagstaff. We are as eager as our community and business partners to see additional air service to markets such as Los Angeles, Dallas, Denver or the Bay Area. The issue is that this is no easy task. Consolidation in the airline world has reduced the viable carriers that could serve are market. This is not new to the industry, but from time to time the consolidation reaches a point that it negatively impacts the flying public’s … [Read more...] about Flagstaff Airport Update
