US 89 in northern Arizona is closed because a 150-foot section of pavement buckled this morning about 25 miles south of Page, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. The cause is not related to weather and may be a geologic event. US 89 is closed northbound at US 89A, which takes traffic west toward Jacob Lake. Downtown Traffic Delays Until Nov. 21
San Francisco Street, at Phoenix Avenue, will be closed for maintenance work beginning Sunday, November 4, 2012. The closure is expected to last until Wednesday, November 21st. Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway crews will be working on improvements to the tracks, similar to the work in the spring on Ponderosa Parkway.
