This Wine Tasting, Music, Silent and Live Auction event will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 1pm to 3:30pm at Thornagers on Kiltie Lane (previously known as the Kilted Cat) in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Flagstaff, Arizona August 6, 2014: The Grand Canyon Guitar Society (GCGS) has announced its 1st ever fundraising event called Corks and Chords. GCGS Executive Director Craig Yarbrough notes that “the Grand Canyon Guitar Society is starting their 11th season this Fall and this event would greatly aid us in achieving our goal of expanding our teaching program to more local students.”
Grand Canyon Guitar Society’s efforts benefit Flagstaff and surrounding region by providing world class guitarists in concert, instruction from these world class guitarists through a master class series, educational outreach into the school district with these artists, and regular music lessons from GCGS to disadvantaged students in Flagstaff and beyond.
This first year event will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 1:00pm to 3:30pm at the Thornagers, 2640 West Kiltie Lane, Flagstaff, Arizona. Col.Russell Mann will host a live auction.
In addition to wine, appetizers, desserts, live and silent auctions, GCGS is proud to present performances from local and regional guitar programs, including students that have benefited from GCGS music lessons.
