The Flagstaff 40 urges all voters to vote YES for FUSD Override, Question 1 on the ballot. The Override will continue an existing tax that enables FUSD to maintain all-day kindergarten, smaller class sizes, reading and math interventions, arts and other essential programs. Because it is a continuation, taxes will not increase because of this Override. Kerry Blume, chair of Flagstaff 40’s education task force said, “Every vote matters. In other communities, school district overrides lost by less than 20 votes. There are signs of economic upturn, so now is the time to invest in our students and our community by supporting the FUSD Override on November 4th.”
