Whether you’re in college or it has been decades since your student days, Homecoming is a wonderful time to celebrate the student experience. At Northern Arizona University, we have much to celebrate this year. We have more than 30,000 dedicated students who have chosen to shape their future in our degree programs. We have a faculty team that is stronger than ever, and a dedicated staff that makes it possible to keep improving. We have more than 160,000 Lumberjack alumni, almost 100,000 of whom still live and work in Arizona.
NAU’s impact on our state is immeasurable. We create jobs, we expand opportunities and we continue to adapt to provide the services and education our students need to make their dreams come true. Every day, our focus is on the student experience. Our students connect with faculty and staff that excel in their fields, and have hands-on opportunities that prepare them for success throughout their careers. Our degree programs grow to meet workforce demands, and to create new knowledge and opportunities.
Though some things at NAU have changed, the core of who we are and what we offer has not. Throughout the years, we have invested in the possibilities that all our students could accomplish, and at Homecoming we celebrate their success.
Homecoming is a chance for families to celebrate their connections to our university, and since we first started the festive occasion in 1924, it has continued to be a reunion we anticipate all year. The doors to our campus are always open, but Homecoming is a special time for our welcome to include Lumberjacks of the past, present and future.
We also are inviting the surrounding Flagstaff community to join us on campus, and there is no shortage of reasons to be part of the celebration! From October 11-15, we will host family-friendly entertainment that includes a bonfire and Mr. Lumberjack pageant, a pep rally in Heritage Square, Homecoming parade, and – of course! – a great football game.
