Worn Wear Wagon Restores Favorite Outdoor Clothing

April 20, 2016 By FBN Leave a Comment

wornwearHow confident can a caped crusader feel without his favorite winter jacket? Fortunately, Booker and his mom, Rachel Miranda, won’t have to go another chilly day without it. Patagonia’s Worn Wear Wagon fixed the broken zipper and Flagstaff’s young superhero is back in action. “This is so great,” said Rachel, sporting her well-worn Patagonia jacket that have had the sleeves replaced for free by the clothing company. “We’re thrilled with the repair!”

Currently, the Worn Wear Wagon is on tour across the West, repairing outdoor clothing for free. This stop was in front of Mountain Sports Flagstaff, which sells Patagonia outerwear. Owner Lisa Lamberson encouraged the company to include Flagstaff on the 2016 tour. “We know how our customers choose to invest in Patagonia because of their Ironclad Guarantee and their dedication to repair. We facilitate returns for repair every day of the year, but to have them perform those repairs ON THE SPOT is amazing. It brought attention to the fact that their favorite pieces CAN be repaired and continue to be used and loved anytime. We feel so lucky to host the Patagonia crew and this innovative idea in the outdoor industry.”

“There is nothing we can change about how we make clothing that would have more positive environmental impact than simply making less,” said Patagonia CEO Rose Marcario. “Worn Wear is a celebration of quality products and their relationship to our lives. It’s a simple but critical message: keep your gear in action longer and take some pressure off our planet.”
