A new Yoga for Absolute Beginners class starts Feb. 1. For six weeks, Sabrina Carlson will guide a small group through a series of yoga postures and breathing exercises. This class is geared towards people wanting to try yoga, but have been hesitant to join an existing class.
Yoga offers “health benefits such as reducing heart rate and blood pressure … anxiety and depression” (National Institutes of Health). Lately, Carlson has seen more people needing the transformative practice of yoga to help offset their busy lifestyles. At the same time, she has seen too many beginner students hesitant to join an existing class for fear of being overwhelmed or confused. The Yoga for Absolute Beginners class provides a welcoming and fun introduction to yoga.
This class is only being offered once in 2016.

Sabrina has helped dozens of beginner students discover the joy and benefits of yoga. Karen Malone said she “… had the greatest experience in the beginner’s yoga class. I’ve thought about doing private yoga … but could not afford the cost. I think these classes were even better than private classes would be…”
Karen Bannon said, “I am more comfortable in my yoga practice now and am much more open about trying more challenging poses…. What I love about how Sabrina teaches is that she is very aware of her students’ individual strengths and needs, and she helps each of us make accommodations.”
Starting a new yoga class can feel confusing and overwhelming. It doesn’t have to. With the right instructor and the right class, you will feel welcomed and supported immediately.
