June 21, 11:30-1:00 at NACET. Most in the innovation and business communities have heard something about the coming U.S. patent law changes brought by the passage last year of the America Invents Act.As implementing regulations are being published and major aspects of the Act are now nine months or less away from coming online, this seminar will focus on updated considerations, tips, and strategies for dealing with the “first to file” change on priority to inventions and definition of what counts as “prior art,” making use of (or guarding against) the myriad of new patent challenge processes, containing the rising cost of obtaining and keeping a patent, and for expediting patent examination.
