Northern Arizona Food Bank (NAFB) has been helping low income families, seniors, and disabled individuals with free firewood during the winter months. There are many families in Northern Arizona who are living without plumbing and electricity. These people depend on firewood for their heating and cooking needs. NAFB works hard to fill this need!
Summer is coming to an end and NAFB’s staff is preparing for the fall season. We would like to remind everyone that a new application must be filled out and on file with our office each year. A half a cord of free firewood may be available each month starting on October 1, 2013 to clients based on qualifying with Low Income status, Senior Citizen, Disability, and other documented significant need.
To fill out an application please stop by NAFB’s office at 3805 E. Huntington Dr. on Monday through Thursday from 1 to 4:30 pm. Please bring the following information with you: Photo I.D, Proof of income, or documented significant need. If you have questions or need directions please call 928-526-2211 during business hours.

Northern Arizona Food Bank has distributed 1,314 cords of wood free of charge since the inception of this program in 2001. We would like to thank the following individuals and organizations that truly make this local effort possible: Flagstaff Community Foundation and their collaborators, local Flagstaff arborists, Forest service, Winslow Prison crew, and countless Volunteer and Staff. This truly has been a community effort to help us provide firewood for those in need.
