The Flagstaff Leadership Program (FLP) is extending its application deadline to Friday, April 29th. Interviews will be held in early May.
Each September, the Flagstaff Leadership Program (FLP) brings together a class of approximately 25 diverse individuals to spend nine months learning about the challenges and opportunities facing the greater Flagstaff area.
Participants begin the program as strangers and end it having formed a life-long network of friends and colleagues. As FLP graduates, they are ready to assume responsibility as community leaders and to serve as a resource for their employers and other organizations that seek to make a positive investment in our community.
Next year’s class will be the 22nd for the Leadership Program, which strives to:
Enhance the effectiveness of Flagstaff’s leadership
Enable people with opposing views to listen to each other and work together
Encourage more people to commit to becoming community leaders
Class members are selected based on their potential for leadership and their concern for improving the quality of life in the community. Class diversity is a commitment of the selection process. The goal is to form a class of approximately 25 members who represent a broad spectrum of the greater Flagstaff community.
Applicants must be willing to commit to 100% participation in the program which includes attending the initial Weekend Retreat, all Leadership Education Days, and Graduation.
An applicant may apply for financial assistance through either a payment plan or by scholarship. It is intended that every participant maintain some level of personal financial investment in the program. The one-time tuition payment represents the total financial obligation of the participant during the program year.
