Subway Café in Flagstaff – one of only 15 cities nationwide chosen to launch this new concept from Subway – officially opened today.
The café, which is located at 1500 East Cedar in Flagstaff, will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. While the venue will continue to serve all of the regular menu items found at any Subway location, it also features a second area, where guests can purchase specialty coffee drinks, pastries such as coffee cake and cinnamon rolls, yogurt parfaits, smoothies and bistro sandwiches. Additional items will also be launched in coming months.
The franchisee of the location is Mark Roden, who owns 46 locations statewide. He is also the chairman of the local Subway advertising trust and executive chairman of Subway Kids & Sports of Arizona, a 501c3 organization founded by Subway franchisees working to provide sports equipment, uniforms, registration fees and access to major sporting events for kids who might not otherwise be able to participate.
The 2,200 square feet of the location – almost twice that of an average Subway – is also a change, as well as the décor, which includes flat screen televisions, an internet bar, high-end lighting, non-Subway design schemes and more.
