Flagstaff Weight Watchers Helping St. Mary’s Food Bank

Next week, Weight Watchers members in Flagstaff will “give away” their unwanted pounds by collecting non-perishable food equivalent to their weight losses to date for St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance.

The effort is part of the 4th annual Lose for Good® campaign, an initiative that fights hunger both locally and globally by increasing awareness of this important issue and helping to provide access to healthy food for those in need.

What:
Weight Watchers “Lose for Good” Fall Food Drive Days

When and where*:

  1. Monday, October 10, 2011 at 10:30 a.m., La Quinta Inn, 2015 South Beulah Boulevard
  2. Monday, October 10, 2011 at 12:30 p.m., La Quinta Inn, 2015 South Beulah Boulevard
  3. Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 6 p.m., La Quinta Inn, 2015 South Beulah Boulevard

*Fall Food Drive Days will be part of the regularly scheduled Weight Watchers meeting. The public is invited to attend and participate free of charge, with no obligation to join.

Photo/Interview Opportunities:

  • Weight Watchers members collecting food items equivalent to their weight lost to date
  • Interview with Weight Watchers group leader


“Lose For Good was designed to further inspire Weight Watchers members as they take the first step on a journey towards a healthier lifestyle,” said Deborah Wright, general manager at Weight Watchers of Arizona. “In doing so they assist others, as hunger relief organizations in our communities and around the world are being stretched like never before.”
