Arizona Snowbowl is closed for the ski season which lasted into April. There were 102 ski days and 266 inches of snow.
During the recent closing ceremonies at the resort near Flagstaff, skiers and snowboarders celebrated the long season.
“It has turned out to be a surprise season. We have been very fortunate with our snowfall this year”, states Dave Smith, Snowbowl’s Marketing Director. He described the conditions as incredible this year with snow and cooler temperatures.
Staff at Snowbowl will shift gears and prepare for the Scenic Skyride visitors as well as conferences and other events planned for the resort.
Plans are also moving forward for snowmaking.
