Many times, Northern Arizona residents feel that they need to head south to find what they need for the holidays. Located in our own backyard are a variety of options waiting to be discovered. The Flagstaff Mall and The Marketplace offers everything from electronics and tools to home goods and clothing. You can even take time out from the hustle and bustle and treat yourself to a massage or a pedicure.
“Offering over 90 stores and eateries, Flagstaff Mall is the ideal setting for all your holiday shopping,” said Laura Crossman, marketing manager of the Flagstaff Mall. “We focus on bringing new retail experiences to our shoppers, and these exciting, new stores represent the latest and greatest these top brands have to offer. During this extra-busy holiday season, we invite you to one-stop shop with us and enjoy the holiday events as well.”
Exciting news this season is the addition of several new restaurants including Denny’s. Denny’s will be opening in December featuring a classic Route 66 theme to complement the favorite food we all love. Famosa Pizza is a new take on pizza. Guests can customize individual pizzas and have them cooked and ready to eat in less than five minutes. If fresh and homemade Mexican food is what you’re craving, try La Placita Express. The tortillas are homemade and with a variety of menu items to choose from, guests will find anything needed to fulfill the cravings. These stores complement several new apparel and specialty retailers that are new to the Flagstaff Mall.
This year, you’ll find several new and returning seasonal stores, including:
- See’s Candy: offers quality chocolates without preservatives.
- Puzzle Lights: gives shoppers an opportunity to create a fun and colorful light fixture.
- Hickory Farms: has a variety of individual or combination packages of delectable and savory sausage, cheese items and treats.
- Fashion Scarves: bundle up with scarves for men and women of all colors and materials.
- Portraits USA: Take your family pictures during select times throughout December.
- Go Calendar: Offers a great selection of calendars, games, puzzles and more.
- Battlezone Laser Tag: if you need an activity to keep the kids busy or to host a holiday party, plan a date at the newest activity center in town.
If you are searching for the perfect gift but are at a loss for what to purchase, consider purchasing a gift card. For several years, gift cards have been the number one requested gift item. Visa gift cards have customizable values ranging from $20-$500 and they are accepted nationwide both online and in stores. And, if you would rather pick a retailer or restaurant gift card, the mall features a broad selection of retailer cards. Stop by now until Dec. 7 and purchase $150 or more in and participating gift card brands and receive a $15 mall Visa gift card. See Guest Services for details.
A visit with Santa is a tradition for almost every family. At Flagstaff Mall, Santa, presented by Bearizona, is available to visit with guests of all ages for free. Portrait packages are also available every day from Nov. 21 through Christmas Eve. This year, the mall is inviting Pet Parents to bring their favorite four-legged friend on one of the Pet Nights (Dec. 3, 10, and 17 from 6-9 p.m.).
There are many other holiday traditions to be found at the mall:
- Light-a-Life by Northland Hospice: Honor someone special while supporting a worthy cause.
- Salvation Army Christmas Angel: Help children in need have a happy holiday.
- Cookies with the Clauses on Dec. 6: Enjoy special time with Mrs. Claus with yummy treats and an appearance by Santa himself.
