Fabulous fashions from Goodwill of Northern Arizona stores, modeled by local personalities, will be the highlight of Second Runway, the charitable organization’s annual fashion show and shopping extravaganza. All funds raised by the event support Goodwill’s job creation and workforce development initiatives throughout Northern Arizona.
Mayor Jerry Nabours, Northern Arizona University President Rita Cheng, and Coconino Community College President Leah Bornstein are among the models strutting the catwalk at High Country Conference Center on Saturday, April 25. At press time it was rumored they would be joined by Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick – leading to speculation about whether her Goodwill outfit would be designed to include those famous cowboy boots of hers.
Other models will include the fashion merchandizing students from CAVIAT, who will be showing off their redesigns on merchandize they got from Goodwill.
You too could go home with your own Goodwill-inspired couture at the event, which will be held from 6:30 to 10 p.m. There will be “shopping centers” throughout the venue featuring the best Goodwill merchandize at awe-inspiring prices.
A terrific dinner with “themed” buffet stations, raffle drawings with unlimited opportunities to win, and a silent auction fill out the evening of fun.
Tickets are on sale now at www.secondrunway.org. Pricing is $75 per person; $145 for two seats and $265 for four block seating. Sponsorship opportunities available.
