ATHENA Award Nominations Being Accepted by Flagstaff Chamber

For more than three decades, the Greater Flagstaff Chamber has chosen to invest in the spirit of the ATHENA Leadership Awards as a way of recognizing female leaders that might otherwise go unnoticed for the passion and dedication they bring to the workplace and the community. The ATHENA is an international award with a mission to support, develop and honor female leaders, inspire females to achieve their full potential and create balance in leadership. Each year, the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce presents the ATHENA awards at its Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon, which is scheduled for 11:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 16, 2024.

Nominees for the award must live, work and/or serve in the Greater Flagstaff area and represent the following criteria:

• Demonstrate the highest level of professional excellence.
• Highly committed to community service in civic, charitable and/or religious organizations.
• Personal leadership: support the professional advancement of women.
• Two awards will be given; one each for public sector and private sector nominees.
