U.S. Senator Martha McSally (R-AZ) announced the release of $225 million in CARES Act relief funding for Arizona airports today. McSally spoke with Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao on Monday who relayed the good news.
“Our airports have seen a huge decrease in travelers as Arizonans stay home to save lives,” McSally said. “As one of the fastest growing states in the nation, Arizona’s airports must be able to hit the ground running once this crisis is over. This funding will help keep our airports operational and ready to serve the millions of Arizonans and visitors who depend on them.”
