SCA’s Don Jordan Elected to Chamber Board

February 6, 2011 By techsuperadmin Leave a Comment

Don Jordan, Director, Southwest Operations of SCA’s North American tissue division, has been elected to the Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce board of directors for a three-year term, which started on Jan. 1, 2011.

“We feel that Don’s business acumen will really make a difference in the success of the chamber in 2011,” said Julie Pastrick, President/CEO of the Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce.

As a board member, Jordan will help set the program of work for the chamber and determine its policies, including formulating the chamber’s public stance on a variety of issues within the community.

“It’s an honor to represent Flagstaff as a member of the Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors,” said Jordan. “I hope my contributions will help to strengthen our local economy and community.”

Jordan, who joined SCA in October 2009, oversees the company’s paper mill and converting operations in Flagstaff and Bellemont. This includes the safe and sustainable production of the company’s Tork® brand of tissue products from 100-percent recycled fiber, and the distribution of those products to customers throughout the West.

SCA Tissue has a total of 259 employees at its mill in Flagstaff and converting plant in Bellemont. In addition to Arizona, SCA Tissue North America, which is headquartered in Philadelphia, has manufacturing facilities in Alabama, New York and Wisconsin. The company employs more than 2,000 in the United States.

About SCA Tissue:

The first American papermaker to earn EcoLogo™ certification for its environmentally sustainable processes and products, SCA Tissue also has earned Green Seal™ certification on an assortment of its products, making Tork the largest Away From Home sanitary paper product brand in North America to earn both certifications.
