Help the Mountain Line and Mountain Lift teams “Stuff the Bus” for the eighth consecutive year this holiday season in gathering food and monetary donations for Northern Arizona Food Bank.
A Mountain Line bus will be at the Walmart Supercenter on Huntington Dr. from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 17 and 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 18. NAIPTA staff will accept non-perishable food items, turkeys, or cash donations.
Mountain Line and Mountain Lift staff volunteer their time each year to organize and oversee the food collection. Since the event’s inception, Stuff the Bus has collected more than 10,000 pounds of non-perishable items, nearly 650 pounds of turkey, and more than $2,000 in cash donations for local food banks.
“Stuff the Bus has become an eagerly anticipated annual tradition for NAIPTA staff, giving us the opportunity to help out the local food banks and connect with our transit riders and residents,” said NAIPTA CEO & General Manager Jeff Meilbeck. “Thank you to everyone who has supported this event in the past, and we look forward to keeping it going for years to come.”
NAIPTA is the transit agency in northern Arizona operating the Mountain Line, Mountain Lift and Mountain Link systems in Flagstaff. NAIPTA also coordinates services with Campus Shuttle Service at Northern Arizona University. Visit www.naipta.az.gov for more information.
