Following a national search which drew more than 115 applicants, Jerene Watson has accepted an offer from the City of Flagstaff to become the new Deputy City Manager (DCM) for Community Enhancement. Watson is leaving her current position as Town Manager for Oro Valley, Arizona and will start work in Flagstaff on July 1, 2011. Drake Cement’s nearly-complete $310 million production plant is located within Yavapai County in Paulden, Arizona – once a historic ghost town and about 60 miles southwest of Flagstaff.
