In response to the continued challenging economy, Wells Fargo will be hosting another Home Preservation Workshop to help customers from across Arizona who may be facing financial hardships. Borrowers will be able to meet face to face with home retention team members in an effort to help them obtain a loan modification or other home preservation options.
WHERE: Phoenix Convention Center, West Building, Hall 1
WHEN: Mar. 30 & 31, 2011, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
WHAT: Wells Fargo invites Arizona homeowners to a workshop for Wells Fargo Home
Mortgage, Wells Fargo Financial, Wachovia Mortgage and Wells Fargo Home Equity Customers facing financial hardships. Bilingual representatives will be available to assist borrowers during the event.
WHO: Nearly 200 home retention team members will assist and work one-on-one with Wells Fargo and Wachovia mortgage customers facing payment challenges.
WHY: Wells Fargo is making every effort to keep people in their homes through the federal Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) and the company’s own modification programs focused on mortgage payment relief. As of January 31, Wells Fargo modified 635,260 mortgage loans since the beginning of 2009 – 86% (or 545,151) of which were done outside of HAMP. Ninety-two percent of Wells Fargo’s mortgage customers remain current on their loan payments and the company’s delinquency and foreclosure rates are three-fourths that of the industry. As a result, fewer than 2% of the loans secured by owner-occupied homes and services by Wells Fargo proceeded to a foreclosure sale in the last 12 months.
