Nestlé Purina, Mother Road Invite Beer Lovers to Raise a Pint for Pets

May 5, 2024 By FBN Leave a Comment

That image is now on Mother Road stickers and t-shirts, and that beer is only around until May 10, through a partnership with Nestlé Purina PetCare Flagstaff to raise money for High Country Humane.  “Our quality manager is on the board for High Country Humane and … [Read more...] about Nestlé Purina, Mother Road Invite Beer Lovers to Raise a Pint for Pets

Do You Have What it Takes to Be a Volunteer?

May 15, 2019 By FBN

Every one of our non-profit organizations relies on volunteers to help maximize their efforts to make our community an even better place to live, and most people realize the value of volunteering at some point in their lives. Retired folks are often the first ones we think of when volunteers are mentioned, but there are countless others who understand the value of giving of themselves and their time now, not later. Moms and dads volunteer at the schools or after school activities for their … [Read more...] about Do You Have What it Takes to Be a Volunteer?

Dr. Carly Bennett is the High Country Humane shelter’s full-time veterinarian. Dr. Bennett was born in Germany and came to Arizona at the age of 12. March 30, 2019 By FBN

When High Country Humane (HCH) was awarded the contract to start providing animal shelter services for the city and the county, it came with a clear mandate to provide a high level of care for the companion animals in our community. Based on input from the community, the city and county had recognized the need to make animal welfare a top priority. The county had accepted the donation of the former Second Chance Center for Animals as the new state-of-the-art animal sheltering facility and asked … [Read more...] about How Elevating Animal Welfare Benefits the Community

New Animal Shelter Offering ‘Elevated’ Animal Welfare

February 20, 2019 By FBN

There’s more to our new community animal shelter, High Country Humane, than first meets the eye. Yes, there are all the obvious components you expect to find at an animal shelter: lost pets being reunited with their owners, pets being surrendered by owners who are no longer able to care for them and newly adopted animals heading out the door with their new families, excitedly anticipating a fresh beginning. But, there’s more. Our new shelter is offering “elevated animal welfare,” which means a … [Read more...] about New Animal Shelter Offering ‘Elevated’ Animal Welfare
