In the chef world, the James Beard is the equivalent of an Academy Award. John Sharpe of Winslow's the Turquoise Room is on the short list of finalists. The Turquoise Room is part of the historic La Posada hotel. Sharpe began his career 50 years ago while still a teen. Lori Stevens, R.N., says she's fortunate to win $10,000 donated by Findlay Toyota and Flagstaff Medical Center. Stevens bought one raffle ticket for last month's Turquoise Ball, and didn't give it another thought. Then came several phone calls from her boss. "I was shocked!"
