“Today, I proudly signed into law a conservative and comprehensive budget plan that adds real resources to our State’s most critical programs, while setting aside dollars for the fiscal challenges that lay ahead. I applaud and commend legislators of both chambers who worked with me in good faith to make this possible. “It is worth remembering how far we’ve come together. When I took office in January 2009, the State of Arizona faced an estimated budget deficit of nearly $3.5 billion … [Read more...] about Governor Signing State Budget

Work Where You Want, When You Want
The last decade has seen an explosion in technologies that make it possible, even easy, for knowledge workers to get things done away from the office. This “Always On” capability has been a bit of a mixed blessing – no longer can we just close our office doors for the night and be away from work. It’s hard to do that when your email chirps the phone in your pocket 24x7 but it also means we have a lot more flexibility in where (and when) we choose to get things done. Case in point: I’m using a … [Read more...] about Work Where You Want, When You Want

Statement from Governor Jan Brewer's office. “On this Labor Day, we celebrate the American worker. We celebrate the bus drivers and teachers, the office workers and homebuilders.
