Snowbowl Celebrates New Aspen Chairlift, Expands Beginner Area

With the snip of the scissors, Mountain Operations Director Dale Haglin officially opened the new fixed-grip quad Aspen Chairlift, Saturday, Dec. 21, just in time for the holiday rush. Snowbowl Installing New Quad Chairlift

Arizona Snowbowl, in partnership with the Forest Service, plans to install and realign the Aspen chairlift this summer and fall, and have it operating by ski season. The bottom terminal will be moved 190 degrees north of its current location, to improve the overall skiing experience. The new chairlift will service new lower intermediate and beginner ski terrain all within Snowbowl’s current Special Use Permit. Arizona Snowbowl and Greater Flagstaff Chamber Announce First Round Recipients for COVID-19 Relief Fund

Arizona Snowbowl and the Greater Flagstaff Chamber announced that the Kachina Peaks Avalanche Center, First Chair Ski & Snowboard Rentals, Alpine Resource, and The Market of Dreams have been selected as first round recipients for the Snowbowl/Flagstaff Chamber COVID-19 Relief Fund. ‘World’s Best Spring Break’ Sets Snowbowl Record

Arizona Snowbowl’s “World’s Best Spring Break” campaign has resulted in 30 percent more visitation last month than in 2018’s previous record-setting March. Arizona Snowbowl Easing Traffic, Awarding Shuttle Riders, Carpoolers

Arizona Snowbowl is providing a new shuttle bus option and carpool program to encourage skiers and snowboarders to share rides, reduce carbon emissions, decrease traffic and save money. This winter season, incentives are being given to all who ride the shuttle from Flagstaff to Snowbowl or carpool on designated days. Ski Season Arriving Early in Northern Arizona

Arizona Snowbowl is opening earlier than ever before with the addition of a new six-pack chairlift. Many of the ski resort’s 500 employees, along with a team of contractors, have been preparing for opening day on Nov. 11.
